Art Think field trips offer a wonderful opportunity for students to engage with contemporary art.

The Art Think tour allows visitors to:


• explore the galleries with an art educator
• engage in conversation about contemporary art & ideas
• use Art Think guides: fun activities that focus on building visual literacy skills
• create art with an activity based on exhibition [optional]
• enjoy your brown bag lunch in our sculpture garden [optional]

Field trips at Dallas Contemporary help fill the gap in art curriculum today. School art classes focus on hands-on projects rather than teaching students how to communicate and examining contemporary art ideas in depth.

Serving student and teacher needs, the program uses the TEKS requirements. The four basic TEKS requirements for Art at all levels focus on perception, creative expression, historical / cultural and critical evaluation. Art Think also complies with the National Standards for Visual Arts Education.
