Bragging Rights: Worldwide Influence
Dallas Contemporary puts Dallas on the world stage of contemporary art, helping to launch the careers of artists, curators, and museum professionals. Over the past eight years, young professionals discovered by Dallas Contemporary have gone on to make their marks in many ways, including: three artists becoming Guggenheim Fellows; one locally curated exhibition moving to the Pompidou Center in France; one Dallas Contemporary intern launching a career in museum management at the Frick Museum in New York. Dallas Contemporary was recognized as a museum to watch by The Wall Street Journal and the influential Saatchi website, which receives over a million hits each year.
Our excellence has been widely recognized, through 35 national and state awards for excellence in graphic design. The American Association of Museums awarded the Art Think program and gave four additional AAM awards and 30 awards came from the Texas Association of Museums' Wilder Awards for excellence in museum publications.
