Liu Xiaodong: Borders

dallas contemporary is proud to release a brand new catalogue in conjunction with liu xiaodong’s recent exhibition, borders, which was on view from 12 january 2021 - 30 may 2021. for more than 30 years, liu xiaodong has been painting and documenting sociological settings, embarking on a personal exploration of painting. this 112 page book features xiaodong’s own sketches, photos, and research notes from his travels along the u.s.-mexico border, and is presented in english, chinese, and spanish.
