DABF Programming: Mapping our Dreams Panel

DABF PROGRAMMING

Mapping our Dreams Panel

Saturday, 21 March 2026

2:00–3:00 PM

Free admission, 161 Glass St.

Print has long been a space for imagining new worlds. Mapping Our Dreams brings together Texas-based publishers and artists who use printmaking, risograph, and independent publishing as tools for dreaming, storytelling, and building alternative futures.

This conversation highlights the ecosystem of small presses and print studios shaping contemporary publishing across Texas. Panelists will discuss how printed matter can function as a site for experimentation, community building, and speculative thinking—mapping ideas that exist somewhere between art, activism, and imagination.

Featuring participants from Riso Rama (Austin), Soft Spot, Play Nice Press, Strange Power (Dallas), and the Center for Imaginary Cartography (Houston), alongside additional risograph studios participating in the fair, the panel will explore how artists are using print to chart new creative territories.
