What inspires your work?

The language of the human figure is my main source of inspiration right now. How the skin, muscles, fat, bones, hair, joints, posture etc... of individuals interact with light, color, and fabrics. I search for the model's story within this interaction if I don't already have a narrative I wish to tell.

Has living in Dallas influenced your work in any way?

I am not quite sure how the city itself has influenced my work. I am sure that it has, but I haven't quite placed my finger on the how yet. However, the people I am surrounded by influence my work greatly. One of my priorities is to collaborate with local creatives. The fashion designers, sculptors, photographers and models living within Dallas are represented in most of my recent work.

What are you currently working on?

I am currently working on a series called MŪDE. The only cohesiveness this series has at the moment is it's purpose and general development. I am studying various human figures by taking photos  with controlled lighting. I then edit and crop the photos to focus on distinct, and sometimes obscure parts of the body. My primary goal for this series is simply to study composition, and improve my technical painting skills. I would like to eventually create separate sub-series and intentionally focus on specific themes to show periodically.
