DC Empty: This is A ____'s World

DC Empty: This is A ___’s World
Saturday July 25, 2026
2:00PM - 3:00PM
161 Glass St. Dallas, TX
Free for members, $15 General admission

This is A _____'s World is a sculptural video performance collaboration between clown, clown, and clown. By stumbling through a failed stand-up routine and nonsensical inner monologue mumblings set to music, Andie Flores as clown will construct a follow-the-leader-type exploration of failure and hope, transforming the environment of DC EMPTY into a colorful, sharp-edged playroom.

ABOUT ANDIE FLORES
Andie Flores (b. 1990) (she/her) is a performance artist in Austin, Texas, who uses embarrassment as a medium for investigating hyper-visibility in a racialized body across barriers of border, history, and capital. Flores creates experimental live performances that pair identity and comedic culture moments with over-exaggerated, often grotesque shapes and sounds. She is fascinated by the urgent task of world-building at the edge of the limits of art-making.

Her work and performances have been shown at Austin Sketch Fest, Bushwig, Presa House Gallery, The Museum of Human Achievement, OUTsider Festival, Ivester Contemporary, MASS Gallery, Future Front Film Fest, Contrast Film Festival, Fusebox Festival, The Dallas Latino Cultural Center, Fallout Theater, Coldtowne Theater, Crashbox, Roskilde Festival, Warehouse9, DORF Gallery, and Cagematch Project.
